The battle scene from Bridges of Valor – coming soon!
Hi, Iâm Rock Carrigan, author of edge-of-your-seat suspense and thrillers. After serving as a U.S. Marine Colonel, Iâve turned my experiences and knowledge into gripping stories that dive into the world of strategy, danger, and psychological intrigue.
Retiring at the rank of Colonel after over 20 years in the U.S. Marines, I bring the discipline, strategies, and gritty realities of military life into every page of my novels. I donât just write actionâI lived it.
My love for storytelling started during downtime on deployments. I found that blending real-world experience with creative twists gave me an outletâand now, it gives my readers an adrenaline-filled escape.
I write thrillers that mix explosive action with psychological complexity. Youâll meet heroes you want to cheer for and adversaries that will make you think. My stories are fast-paced but grounded in reality, with twists you wonât see coming.
Iâm the author of The Shadow Series: Chasing Shadows, Shadows of Deceit, and Shadows of Revengeâthese are stories of betrayal, vengeance, and survival that have kept readers up past midnight. I am also the author of The Steele Armstrong Series: Operation Firestorm, Operation Mirage, and Operation Reconning. â these are stories of the war effort in Iraq. They chronicle recon and search & destroy missions. My latest book is Echoes of Vallor. It chronicles the attack on Riva Ridge in Italy by the 10th Mountain Division during WWII. Find my books on Amazon.
When Iâm not writing, youâll find me reading Clancy, hiking with my German Shepherd, or watching old war films. Iâm always digging deep into researchâbecause the details matter. My German Shepherdâs name is âRiley.â He was in the military canine unit of the squad when I served in Iraq. His handler, Sgt. Michael Cox, was killed in action. I adopted Riley wand brought him home with me.
