When Iâm not writing, youâll find me reading Clancy, hiking with my German Shepherd, or watching old war films. Iâm always digging deep into researchâbecause the details matter. My German Shepherdâs name is âRiley.â He was in the military canine unit of the squad when I served in Iraq. His handler, Sgt. Michael Cox, was killed in action. I adopted Riley wand brought him home with me.
